Legal Gender Cultural Foundation "Liza" is a non-governmental organization established in 1994 by president of organization I. Galstyan.

The goal of the organization is to adequately reflect the reality through sociological surveys, arrangement of educational programs, protection of women's rights, activization of women's participation in decision making, in the cultural, social and political life of the society, and support of women 's creative work.

Since 1994-2001 Legal Gender Cultural Foundation "Liza" organized a cycle of song's festivals.
Young Singers' contest "Liza-95" held June 1-5, 1995 in Yerevan. 50 participants. Seven prizes were awarded. The first prize won Magda Mkrtchian, third year student of conservatory. The second prize won Artsvik Demurchyan.
Several concerts have been organized with the participation of "Liza-95" prize-winners.
Organization of Armenian folk music contest to be held on June 1-5, 1996.
100 participants. Well-known professionals of the field worked in the jury.

In 2000 built St. Mariam and St Elizabeth's Church on the slope of Mount Aragats in the memory and reverence of mothers, who lost their children.

In 2000 Liza Foundation produced film "From Monologue to Dialogue" or "Reflection of Changes of the Gender Roles in the Armenian Society in the Cinematography" (20 min) supported by OBCE.

In 2001 produced film "Armenian Women and Politics" (15 min) supported by OBCE.

In April-September, 2002, Legal Gender Cultural Foundation "Liza" organized "Yerevan Summer School on Gender Culture. Development of Programs on Gender Education" supported by OSI/HESP and exhibition of "Armenian Women Artists", on the base of that exhibition was created film "The Voices" (15 min).

From 15 January to 15 June, 2003, Legal Gender Cultural Foundation "Liza" realized project "Creation of Network of Lecturers in Gender Theory.
Seminar Women's Literature, Art." supported by OSI/HESP. Published book "Modern Armenian Women's Literature".

At 8-12, December, 2004 Liza Foundation with Art Film Ltd organized First International Women's Film Festival «KIN» supported by UNDP, MLSI, SIDA.
